Joshua Reitze is the Managing Director of BlueWave Merchant Partners’ Colorado office.   He brings more than 12 years experience in managing the U.S. Government’s export facilitation and trade promotion resources on behalf of companies doing business in North Africa and the Middle East.  Most recently, he managed the Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Bahrain, and Israel country portfolios in the U.S. Department of Commerce Advocacy Center.  In that capacity, he coordinated U.S. Government diplomatic support for American economic and commercial interests in those markets.  In addition, he served as liaison for the American aerospace industry, and worked to facilitate exports for companies in that sector.  Prior to that, Joshua served as a trade analyst for Import Administration at the Department of Commerce.   Joshua received a BA in political science from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an MA in Global Trade, Finance, and Economic Integration from the University of Denver’s Korbel School of International Studies.  He lives in Denver with his wife and two kids.

Trade Related Accomplishments

  • Managing teams of up to 15 people across multiple agencies, coordinated successful export strategies for more than 125 companies, with successes totaling more than $95 billion in value
  • Established and managed successful outreach program to promote commercial diplomacy and export support services to the American aerospace industry
  • Served as lead strategist on coordinating official Government advocacy in support of U.S. exporters and investors in frontier markets including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Oman, and Algeria 
  • Awarded multiple Department of Commerce honors, including medals for distinguished performance, superior federal service, and excellence in work product
